Chapter Thirteen

A rumor Arrin had been involved in some unscrupulous deed was rapidly spreading throughout the colony. Most of the speculation centered on murder and drugs, which was so close to the truth Arrin knew either Pastor Willis or Peter had betrayed him. Either possibility was distressing, for he’d started to trust and believe in the two men, and now he knew one or both them was a traitor. He lay on his back in his bed staring up at the ceiling and wondering how long it would be before Cody and Logan came for him, and then he was reminded the bloody clothing was still stashed under his bed.
