To avoid having to lie to Peter to keep Arrin’s confidence, Pastor Willis sneaked into the dorm through the back door. He found the drugs right where Arrin had said they would be. He picked up the leather case, but before he closed it, he examined the sparkling yellow liquid in one of the vials. It glistened and shone in the afternoon sunlight streaming in through the bathroom window, the most beautiful liquid he’d ever seen. He became mesmerized by it, until clouds blocked the sun and its true personality was revealed when it became dull and ugly. He snapped the case shut and stuffed it under his arm, but even then he was certain he felt evil seeping from it. He was so anxious to return home and destroy the loathsome drug he sprinted downstairs to his car.
