Chapter Five

Arrin’s head pounded from another of his frequent bad headaches, a side effect of the tracker in his brain. Like the nightmares, it was something he’d come to accept as normal for him now, but it didn’t stop him from going in search of something to ease the pain.

However, he stopped in the doorway of the kitchen and cursed under his breath when he saw Chad and Robert seated at the table with Phillip and Greg, sharing a platter of roast beef sandwiches. He was in no mood for dealing with people right now, and was about to leave, when Chad saw him.

“Arrin! Hey! Come join us. Have a sandwich.”
