“No!” Arrin shouted, silencing them. “We won’t be slaughtered nor will we need to fight our way out.”

“Fighting is the only way out,” Collin said. “And since you’re too cowardly to do it, I’ll lead the charge myself. I’ve been aching to kill old owl eyes and piggy for years.”

Arrin glowered at Collin, who glowered back at him. “We don’t need to fight and kill. I know a way out of here. By the time the lab coats even realize we’re gone we’ll be well on our way to freedom.”

Collin scoffed. “If there’s a way to escape from here, why haven’t you already taken it?”

“I only discovered it—,”

Collin didn’t let Arrin talk. He jumped onto a chair....
