The Design Technology teacher stood by the door as the class exited. He could see students for the next class emerging from around the corner at the end of the corridor.

He glanced back inside the classroom. One boy had not moved. Not just any boy, but a boy who could effortlessly disrupt a class in novel and unexpected ways.

“Time to go,” the teacher said.

“I can’t sir.”

“Really? And why not?”

“I’ve super-glued my hand to the workbench, sir.”
