You decide to read the blurb.

Here is the most useful, condensed guide on constructing a blurb I found online.

Most fiction book blurbs start with a situation (a), introduce a problem (b) and promise a twist (c). They usually end with a sentence that emphasises the mood (d) of the story.

I am going to use the blurb for M R Carey’s bestseller as my template.
