"But how can I be calm… when I have no emotions, Roy," the robot said with little to no ‘to do,’ for what had been built up to such a seemingly important statement.

“Was that it then,” Roy asked.

“Yes, Roy, that was it,” the robot replied with emphasis.

Roy looked at the robot with… complete disinterest. "All right,” he said, “You’ve said your complete declarative statement without interruption, are we done?" 

"No, Roy, we aren’t, ‘Done,’ as you so ineloquently put it. Not by an antiquated long shot,” the robot said, “Now it’s your turn. I just asked you a question and I require it be answered or formally acknowledged."
