Depending on my emotional energy,

I receive my paper mug either with a scrawled "Mimi," because that is the safety name I gave them;

"Mia," "Maria," "Mya," or other misspellings when I give them my real one.

I'm lucky

if I can dip a cinnamon doughnut

sprinkled with crystallized sweetness inside.

I'm lucky

if I sip

and don't burn my tongue.
