One of the most useful technological advances in my life is GPS.
How wonderful that I no longer have to carry piles of paper maps in my car that never seem to include the road I need at the moment I need it, or the exact location I need is located in the crease fold and illegible.
No longer do I have to drive with one hand on the wheel and one eye on the map, while avoiding aggressive drivers, bicyclists, pedestrians, cable cars, taxis, buses, segways, and skate boarders simultaneously.
No more do I need to drive around in circles or drive up to a gas station in a poorly lit area in an unfamiliar neighborhood and play charades with a non-English speaking attendant.
However, my GPS seems to be under the weather of late...
