CHANNILLO
Murder in the First Edition
By Lisa Giannone

Series Description:

In Murder in the First Edition, the first installment in the Apothecary Bookshop Cozy Mystery series, Gia Morelli returns from Rome to convert an old apothecary into a bookshop and café, right in the heart of San Francisco’s Italian North Beach community.

She enlists her best friend, Mari, and loyal feline companion, Giorgio, to help realize her dream, but the dream is threatened when Giorgio discovers a human skeleton behind the wall during construction. Thrown into the mix, Gia’s suffering a broken heart courtesy of her unfaithful boyfriend and distracted by a handsome barista.

Part mystery, part romantic comedy, part postcard of San Francisco with a touch of Italian charm, the entire series will follow Gia as she builds her bookshop, juggles her love life, and plays amateur detective. She will be joined by recurring characters along the way.

This is a work of fiction. Although the locations are real (except the apothecary!), the characters and events are purely fictitious. Any similarity to persons alive or deceased is purely coincidental.

If you enjoy this series, be sure to check back for Murder in the Second Act, tentatively scheduled for fall 2021.
