Life comes with many obstacles. As much as we are taught to prepare for growing up and dealing with the world, one thing that cannot truly be taught is how to deal with love.
Ah...love. Such a complicated state of being. Such a complicated emotion. Such a complicated space.
Love is a lesson and a gift. And throughout this series, you will follow my emotions - from the joys, the infatuation, the love, the betrayal, the rebuilding, the hope, and the loss...all of it.

Shanda "MzPoetess" Thomas began writing poetry at the age of 8 years old. Growing up, she would often imagine her works being featured in Literature books and taught to students - much like that of Shakespeare or Edgar Allen Poe.
As a writer, MzPoetess has penned several hundred poems throughout her life. Some of her work has been featured in online forums and websites and in magazines.
Her main motivation for writing is experience. Most of her work is written as a direct result of her having gone through a trial or emotion, and writing is her escape.
Today, MzPoetess lives in Virginia with her loving husband of 11 years and their three sons.
