“You look good today,” he said, the uncharacteristically sheepish look on his toned face quickly becoming characteristically confident.

“I woke up early this morning,” I said, glancing down at my skirt. I backed into the room before turning around and making for my desk.

Randy peeked his head in. Seeing that the seats were empty, he entered.

“I talked to Alan this morning,” Randy said, walking in a slow, casual fashion toward my desk.

He didn’t continue, waiting for me to ask. As I opened my bag and rummaged through my lesson plans I obliged, “about what?”
