I now knew the how. But I needed to know more. As tempting as it was to swim back through the tunnel, I was still a little shaken and didn’t want to risk an underwater panic attack.

I walked back to my truck, took off my dive equipment, and drove back to the dive shop. I asked about frequent customers, especially for refilling tanks. They told me they had a few regulars that came in every weekend but no one knew and no one who needed refilled more than once a week.

I asked if there were any other dive shops in the area and they told me the next closest one was over a hundred miles away.
