Michael Kelso graduated high school and entered the workforce, eventually becoming a Corrections Officer for twenty years before retiring in 2016. His love for reading, and vivid imagination lead him to write his own stories. To this end, he has read several books about writing, and continues to develop his skills.
His debut crime fiction novel was released in September of 2017 by Wordcrafts Press ( http://wordcrafts.net/books/one-on-one/ ). He has also self-published horror short story collections on Amazon.com ( https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00710X0GI ). He continues to write even though working a 50 hour a week job. Currently he is working on the sequel to his debut novel, his first YA novel, his first Children’s book, more short stories, and his first non-fiction book.
His writing accolades include: Two time winner of the Horror short story writing contest on Fanstory.com. November 2015 and September 2016.
Honorable mention for his flash fiction story ‘The Dance’ on Zathom.com
Membership in the Horror Writers Association, and The Inkwell writing group.
