of undulating 

soul-fire 
that burn

the insatiate
hinterlands
of my being -

an 
unspoken 
understanding
between ferns and
the grieving sand -

the 
mountain-goat's 
taste

for green shrub
beneath serene 
and credulous 
heavens -

the 
honey-bee's care 
for sumptuous 
wildflower-pollen

exquisite 
in bloom
against 
idyllic vestures -

cliffs born of 
my devotion
and the 
given merit 
of skies
