It's no exaggeration to say
you represent the old order 
of my realm - the downsizing
of my pretentions and fancies,

curtailing my 
unrestricted world-building
frivolity and delerious 
Christ mission-seeking.

The postpartum blues I feel
each morning, having created
the universe and everything in it,
are worsened by 
the bitter ash of my delusion

that I must drink 
stirred into my morning tea.
I cough and splutter, 
choked by the 
cinematic unfairness 
of this framing.
