Dear Matt,

     I wish you could be in my life right now.  Aside from mine and everyone’s heartbreak over Carl’s death, that will take quite a while for all of us to get over, if we ever do, life is good, except for my grief.  My writing is going good, I’m deep down happy with Lee.  We’re both healthy (knock on wood) and we’re more in love than ever.  Carl’s death has brought us closer together instead of tearing us apart, that sometimes happens when a kid dies, no matter what the age.  I wish you could come up here to see us, call on the phone, share my life with me.
