Dear Matt,

     I know you wanted a sibling, brother or sister, to grow up with.  You started asking me about it when you were about 4 years old.  Your dad wasn’t very honest with me on that.  Here, I thought I was marrying a man who wanted a lot of children, and I was allowed to only have you.  I didn’t even tell him about my miscarriage, when you were 2, until years later.  I wanted more kids, but it, and any discussion of it, was a no-go.  Your dad was very careful I didn’t have more kids, get pregnant again.  Although, I did have that one miscarriage when you were 2, and I think a few when I was with Carl.
