This book begins with John (Yochanan) on the island of Patmos in the Aegean, where he has been exiled.  He is given a revelation of the end of time and is addressing it to the 7 churches in the Roman province of Asia.  He describes many prophetic visions including the lamb like beast, the great beast and the whore of Babylon.  His visions culminate in the end of the history of this world and the second advent of Yeshua the Messiah as “King of kings and Lord of lords”.
