when words run dry & visions blur

in the stillness of time

where walls could no longer restrain,

we realize the differences between

reality & dreams

questioning reasons laid before us, in hand.

 beating his head

against walls, trying to find a way

to mend these wounds

that we’ve induced upon one another

as we drift apart, two seasons

beneath the same sun;

staying distant

though remaining ever-so-near.
