Jeff Stone participated in international education efforts while teaching a variety of courses for two community colleges and Latin America's premier university system for fifteen years. In the fall of 2015, he completed his first novel, Beyond the Blue—a literary story of love, loss, discovery, buddies, and baseball for which he's still seeking a proper venue. His short story "Fire" gained the Gold Writer distinction in ArtAscent's April 2016 "Heat" issue (pp. 14-17), and "Well Enough" was published by ArtAscent in the December 2015 "Haunting" issue (pp. 52-3). His flash fiction can be read at the WordPress blog Rolling the Stone.
Jeff has loved words since his grandmother put old catalogs in front of him to do with as he pleased before he could speak and could barely sit upright. Of course, many people wondered if he would ever speak until they caught him telling a story to an Australian Shepherd, Sir Robert, who was his dear companion from the ages of four to twenty-two. He has experience as a lead singer and songwriter in various rock bands that were heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, the doors, Jimi Hendrix, Stone Temple Pilots, and others. His interests are many but namely include literature, baseball, art, music, culture, travel, history, learning, the universe, and spirituality.
