Born and raised in Richmond, Indiana, Amanda released the first book of her fantasy Bond of Kings series in October 2014 (Father's Blood, available on Amazon), and is soon to release her first book of poetry and visual art, Out of Stale Remains. In addition to a full-time design job, Amanda writes and is a substitute teacher. She is  often asked if she thinks she's  spreading herself too thin (which, for the record, she does not).

Amanda is passionate about supporting local and independent art, music, literature, and business. She recently founded a locally-focused nonprofit organization geared toward helping local artists find opportunities to share, display, develop, and sell their work. The organization has a goal to purchase property in the near future, which will be partly a coffee bar/gallery where artists can sell their work, and partly studio space where artists can create free of distraction or interruption. A portion of money earned on Channillo will help fund this goal.
