Kat Parrish is a former reporter who prefers making things up! She mostly writes urban fantasy, fantasy romance, ad space opera-ish science fiction.The Afterwitch Chronicles is something different--a mixture of horror and urban fantasy in the vein of Robert McCammon's Swan Song and Stephen King's The Stand.

Kat Parrish is a pen name because she writes a lot about vampires, shifters, and other monsters and doesn't necessarily want those books to come up when someone googles a news story she wrote. 

She is fond of cats, dark chocolate, roses, and photography. Born in Washington D.C., she has traveled extensively and is currently a digital nomad based in Europe.
