Born and raised on Detroit's east side, I am a lifelong Michigan resident who writes and creates art inspired by Michigan's rocky shores, fresh water and pine forests.

I am an award-winning poet, author of the novel Chantepleure and put bread on table illustrating books at home in Buzz Lightyear pajamas in the Artist's Dungeon.

For 16 years I've been caregiver for our Dad (who died in 2017) and my little brother who has Down's syndrome and now Alzheimer's disease. This series is that story of 3 lives.
