Lori Summers was raised in the Chicago suburbs.  A self-proclaimed hothouse flower, once she discovered paperbacks as a pre-teen she preferred being inside getting lost in the romance of books to anything else.  She wrote several short stories as a teen before getting swept up into adulthood and real life romance. 

Marriage, family, career and a move to Texas happened over the next few decades.  Now that her career is winding down and the family has grown, she has more time to devote to the activities she truly loves.   Quilting, fishing, cabining (she and her husband don’t camp, they cabin), and most of all, writing.   

With the encouragement and support from her wonderful husband and her geriatric pooch Rufus by her side, she is currently working on a short story series as well as her first novel.
