After completing two years of research and draft writing, in 2003, she finished her only full-length classical play, Tristan & Isolde. With editorial advice from The PlayCrafters Group, as well as the textbooks of Dr. Louis E. Catron, Tristan & Isolde remains the only 3-act stage play in print dramatizing events and themes included in the Tristan legends of Gottfried, and Béroul.  After subsequent revisions, she entered the play into the 2010 NYFringe Festival competition. Festival adjudicators selected it for production from among some 1,000 entrants. 

The International Library of Poetry twice selected her as an outstanding poet. Stanford University Library accepted Josie’s one-act play, Alpha & Omega, for inclusion in a special collection of one-acts assembled in 2001. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Radio and Television Artists, and performed in many character roles off-off-Broadway (1997- 2010), and independent films. Major production houses in both New York and Los Angeles requested and read her screenplays over the past fifteen years.
