As Liv and Brodi left Nate’s office, she noticed that Brodi seemed hesitant to walk in the direction of the lobby. 

“We’ll take the elevator,” she said, touching his wrist lightly. “We won’t even need to go into the lobby.” 

Brodi started to say something along the lines of “that’s not necessary,” but in the end he just gave Liv’s hand a squeeze and kissed her fingertips. Yes, he wanted to stay out of the lobby, but not entirely because of fear. At this point he just didn’t want to deal with talking to anyone else. He’d rather just be behind closed doors, locking everyone else on the other side for now. His head was starting to pound beyond reason, and he didn’t think he could stand another confrontation with anyone at this...
