maybe a mistake / or the other half of what i thought it was / or this is not enough but i will write it anyway

and i can hear all the planets

with strumming fingertips

and all the universes humming their tunes

in the dark above worlds

and if i give them a minute to find the right chords

and give them the breath to think

(and a mouthful of patience)

sometimes they set aside instrumentation

to hold my hands

and let me write the words
