and i hope you realize how grand you are

your resounding pounding heart

that speeds more than a race car

(feelings go too fast, and travel far too far)

and those wild ocean crashing eyes of yours

that crash and dash around the room

and out into the field where the wildflowers bloom

and your holy self that never fully seems to still

(so full of repaired parts and full of will)

seeking time to live instead of time to kill
