After Billy's departure, no matter how low my morale would get, I still tried to my best to keep Billy's, and those in his unit, boosted. Depression, loneliness, and feelings of isolation do not make for alert soldiers, and I wanted to do everything I could to keep all of them happy.
     I sent cards, photos, and home movies that I made just for them. I sent care packages full of toys and games for them to play and bond with each other over. I sent boxes full of beach themed fun, filled with inflatable beach balls, flower leis, coconut bras and grass skirts, all in an attempt to make their lives there just a little better, a little happier.
     When the holidays came around, I sent boxes full of holiday cheer, including an entire Christmas box...
