If any one phrase could be used to describe my relationship with Shane, "It's a mystery" would probably be the closest you'll ever find, and that mystery flowed both ways. We did not understand each other, at all. Oh, we had fun when he came up to visit, it being nothing more than a casual bit of fluffy nothingness that needed very little from either of us to continue.
     He'd call me on occasion throughout the week, we exchanged emails, and about once a month he'd make plans to come up to see me and stay overnight.
