Half a year into his marriage to Julie, Erick managed to injure himself at work. Precipitated by a malfunctioning floor waxing machine that left behind a huge puddle for Erick to slip-slid his way into a back injury. Unfortunately, the home they were living in was also owned by the company he worked for, and they were less than pleased with his choice to pursue workman's comp.
     While they could not stop him from filing, they could end his lease, giving him until the end of the month to move out. With less than two weeks to find a new place to live, out of a job and waiting for his workman's comp to kick in, Erick and Julie were scrambling without much hope for a good outcome.
