Shortly before running into Don at the grocery store, I started working for a small start-up internet company, and I loved it. The pay was good enough to justify the 45 minute travel time to another state, the work was challenging, and for the first time in a long time, I felt like I was getting ahead instead of just barely keeping my head above water.
