With our supplies running low in both of our households, Kelly and I ventured out to do our shopping. Before we left, we decided to be kind to Mike and bundle up my youngest daughter to take with us, while leaving the rest of the children in his care. With a grateful look, Mike waved goodbye and wished us the best of luck, before firmly shutting the door behind us. Probably hoping we wouldn't change our minds and return her to his care before leaving, rethinking the wisdom of taking her with us.
