     What if you saw a man break down the door next door?  You see the man briefly.  The next day you find out the wife is in the hospital, having been raped and stabbed.  She’s alive, and will be okay.  Do you go to the police to give a description of the man, or out of fear for your own life, keep your mouth shut?
