A hand quickly muffled my mouth and yanked me backwards into the door of Ava’s cabin as Ava ran in the door after me quickly slamming and locking it. Moans and groans seemed to rattle the front window that looked out on the porch as what sounded like fingernails scraped down the door and the doorknob rattled. “What is that?” I gasped as the hand released its grip on me. “Shh!!” whispered Ava running to turn off the lights, “If you stay quiet they will give up and move on.” “They who,” I mumbled.
