the inside of my arm
maybe just a poke
i know the knife
i have the knife
i'm curious
will the red be dark
or watery pale
if i let it bead
and drip drop
onto plain white paper
what snowflake shape will form
will it be unique
distinct from the next
and the next
and the next
will i be fascinated
will i be satisfied
with just these drops
