what's that light in the darkness
that will-o-the-wisp
out in the trees
it's beckoning
mesmerizing
some sort of soul
calling to mine
is it a beacon for hope
or maleficence
and does it matter
when my will
is entangled with it
and i find myself
being steadily drawn into
its corona
