Sofia shoved her way through the boxwood branches. Duncan was right on her heels.
“What is it?” she asked over her shoulder, slowing down.
Duncan waved at her to keep running.
“Wilderox stampede!” he gasped. “Look for a tall, thick tree. A big set of rocks to climb. Anything sturdy!”
Duncan chanced a look behind them. The boxwoods with their peaceful tiny clearing had vanished under two large groups of stampeding wilderox that had just merged into a single mob of animals. Dirt, grass, leaves and anything small to medium-sized was being trampled to ruin.
