Untied: The Poetry Of How Knots Become Strings
By John Roedel

Series Description:

The hardest knots we must deal with are often the ones that we tie inside of ourselves.  We tether ourselves to the mistakes of our static past and to our fears of our uncertain future.

These are the poems of how we untie our hearts from the dock.   These are the poems of how we let go.  I wrote each of these for the two of us.

Category/Genre(s): Poetry, Nonfiction, Short Stories
Updated: A Few Times A Week
Status: Completed

Author Bio For John Roedel:

John Roedel is a Wyoming based improv comedian who took his adventures into mental health wellness and his ongoing doubts in the divine and put it all into words.  He is the most unlikely writer/poet you will probably ever meet.

Over the past year John has published two books.

The first book he wrote was "Hey God. Hey John: "What Happens When God Writes Back" which chronicles the thousands of imaginary conversations John started having with "God"on his very popular Facebook page in 2015.  These conversatins started out as a fun way of poking fun at his faith crisis or how he should probably avoid wearing skinny jeans but over it time these "talks with God" started becoming much more meaningful.  Over time John and "God" started having deep conversations about his depression, the joy and struggle of raising a child living with autism, doubts and how to hold on to hope in this modern world.

John's second book is "Any Given Someday" and it represents a vast departure from his first.  It's a collection of micro-poetry that tackles the subject of living in the present moment and to quit putting off the changes we want to make in our life onto some uncertain "Someday."

Currently, John is waist-deep in three new poetry collections that he is hoping to release throughout 2019!
