Vera awoke when the train screeched to a halt. Lydia sat up as well, rubbing her eyes with tiny fists. Vera picked up her baby sister and climbed off the train.

They were back home again, or at least in the town near their home. Vera checked the clock in the town square--half-past. Just five minutes after she left.

Vera snuggled Lydia close. "Well, I don't know how, but I think we just went on a magical adventure. Either that, or I had a very strange dream."

"Wing?" Lydia asked.

"Then it wasn't a dream. It was the most magical ring that ever was," Vera said. "Let's go home, and I'll read The Enchanted Castle to you."
