CHAPTER 16

Phil Hounsell and Zara Wheeler drove back to Nottingham. They arrived at around half past two. Meanwhile Therese Slater was making her way up to Runcorn and dreaming of a rosy future with Owen someone, provided the police didn’t pick him up in the next twenty four hours.

Frankie and Billy were driving across Nottingham from their overnight stop and looking forward to another rip roaring night at the Rescue Rooms. With a capacity of around four hundred it was going to be up close, sweaty and intimate, but there’s nothing wrong with that every now and then.

By the time the two roadies started to unload the kit, Phil and Zara arrived at the venue. Phil had talked to Danny Bevan and the rest of the team about the Keele trip and what little they had gleaned from his chat...
