CHAPTER 7

Maiden’s Hair were preaching to the converted that night. The atmosphere in the hall was electric and so was their performance. Colin watched the band from the side of the stage and was pleased to hear a few changes in the playlist. He’d imagined having to listen to the same set night after night, but the guys switched tempo and mood depending on the type of audience they had in the venue and the reaction they were getting.

Tonight saw the inclusion of ‘Running Free’ and ‘Flight of Icarus’, while ‘Revelations’ appeared as an encore. The crowd went wild and when the band finally left the stage the place was heaving. Even Frankie seemed to have a smile on his face; perhaps his back was getting a little easier.

Unfortunately, after another rest...
