The room was spinning for Kate.  How could she have been so wrong about Nathan?  Why had she willingly believed he didn’t love her anymore?  Did they even stand a chance after everything that had transpired between them over the past year and half? 

She had learned in counseling that love wasn’t enough to hold a couple together.  A relationship required an abundance of hard work from both parties.  It was up to each of them not to let the marriage fall apart.

Kate had tried really hard to throw all the blame Nathan’s way, but she was also guilty of not giving their marriage the attention it deserved.  She became emotionally distant instead of talking to Nathan and trying to improve their situation.  Why didn’t she insist they spend more time together?...
