The next day, the couple spent a quiet evening at Richard’s home.  Kate was content to sit on the sofa with Leo and cuddle.  It felt nice.

She had been in his company for several hours and tried to excuse herself.  “I should probably go.”

“Please stay a little longer.”

Kate teased, “You just don’t want me leaving with your precious car again.”

Leo was willing to resort to bribery to get his way.  “I’ll give you the car if you stay half an hour more.  I’m injured, and I need you to take care of me.”

“You poor baby.  Tell me where it hurts, and I’ll kiss it.”

Leo pointed to his lips and Kate gave them a quick peck.  “There.  All better.”
