Clay escorted Kate on the flight to Prominence.  Not one word was uttered by her during the entire trip.  She sat across from him with a defeated look on her face as if trying to comprehend what had happened.

Clay wanted to take Kate in his arms or offer words of encouragement, but ultimately concluded his well-meaning intentions would be best served if he simply let her be.  He believed his brother was the perfect husband who dearly loved her and had obviously been deceived.  His mind couldn’t even begin to assimilate the betrayal that his poor ex-wife must feel.

Clay made sure Kate and his nephews were settled comfortably at her grandfather’s home and instructed the staff on details they would need for their stay.  His next order...
