Meredith kept Kate fully occupied the last few days before the ceremony.  The woman’s words and actions conjured constant images of the wedding being genuine.  The documents would look very official, but Nathan had assured her as soon as Ivanov was apprehended any record of the event would be eradicated.

Kate determined she wasn’t going to worry.  The marriage would never be consummated, and she could always file for divorce as a last resort.  With any luck, it wouldn’t come to that.  She wanted rid of Clay, and yesterday wouldn’t be too soon.
