Nathan made his appearance known to everyone.  He was going to stay as close to Kate and Julian as humanly possible until they were moved.  “Did I hear someone offer congratulations?  Tell me what I missed.”

Clay was more than eager to explain.  “Kate has finally agreed to set a date for our wedding.”

“I see.  Just recently Kate was saying she wasn’t anywhere near ready for marriage.  How did you get her to change her mind?”

“We’re in love.  It’s that simple.  I see you’ve brought my son down to share the celebration.”  He reached to take Julian.

Nathan evaded his move by turning with his baby.  “Julian is my son, and you’re not touching him.”
