Kate spent the next four years forming a close bond with her grandmother before attending the same university as her parents.  At the age of fifteen, she received her diploma two years early and had completed over half of a bachelor’s degree by filling her schedule  with college classes during her summers.  Her grandmother often complimented her accomplishments with pride, as her dear mother had done in the past.

Each time her mind contemplated how much she missed her parents, she forced herself to regain focus on her goals.  She was so close to succeeding.  In a few short years, she would be working a job dangerous enough to allow her to finally be reunited with her mother and father.
