Kate didn’t expect Nathan would be returning to Prominence anytime soon, if ever.  The next morning, she contacted Dr. Miller’s office and asked to be referred to an obstetrician in New York City.    Dr. Perkins had a cancellation the following day and could fit her in.

Ronald insisted on accompanying Kate to her new doctor’s office.  She thought he would be driving her, but instead he informed her that the doctor was only a few blocks away.  A nice walk would be much quicker.  He insisted the weather was perfect with the sun shining and the high being nearly sixty degrees.
